This ministry was started at the prompting of the Holy Spirt and by Scriptural truths:

-
John 13:34-35 - “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”
-
Mark 12:30-31 – “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.”
-
Mathew 25: 35-36 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’
-
Romans 12:10 – “Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves.”
-
Romans 13:8 – “Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law.”
-
Mathew 25:40 - “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.”
In its infancy, one follower of Jesus and Elder at Life Church of Rome found himself learning about other’s unique circumstances and needs and set about to meet these needs.
He found that the more needs he met the more needs he learned of. As he discussed these needs with other followers of Christ charitable donations of various kinds were given to him as he went about ministering to others out of his car and storing items in his garage.
Over time, the number of individuals in need kept growing and a trailer was purchased through charitable donations and is used to distribute clothing and other items to homeless and underserved individuals at shelters and feeding centers in the area. Additionally, more individuals volunteered their time and efforts to assist this ministry.
